PETA Theater Center films for the next two weeks.

Here’s a news find I found yesterday, read on if you’re interested with films such as C Mo Si Direk, Ded Na Si Lolo, Kamoteng Kahoy, or Fuchsia.

MANILA, Philippines – PETA is taking a break from its usual array of theatrical treats, as it opens “C Mo Si Direk” from Nov. 13 to 15 at the PETA Theater Center

“C Mo Si Direk (Chikahin mo Si Direk)” is a three-day showcase featuring the most talented filmmakers in the country: Maryo J. Delos Reyes, Joel Lamangan and Soxie Topacio. Offering a multi-genre slate of exhilarating films, each screening is followed by a forum where the audience can have the opportunity to mix and mingle with the directors. The event features the following films:

Soxie Topacio’s Ded Na Si Lolo, chosen by the Film Academy of the Philippines to represent the country in the 82nd Oscar Awards, will be screened on Nov. 13, 7:30 p.m. The cast includes Gina Alajar, Elizabeth Oropesa, Manilyn Reynes, Dick Israel, Roderick Paulate, Perla Bautista and BJ Forbes.

Maryo J. Delos Reyes’ Kamoteng Kahoy will be screened on Nov. 14, 7:30 p.m. The cast includes Nash Aguas, Robert Villar, Gloria Romero, Ana Capri, Sharlene San Pedro and Yul Servo.

Joel Lamangan’s Fuchsia will be screened on Nov. 15, 7:30 p.m. The cast includes Gloria Romero, Robert Arrevalo, Eddie Garcia, Armida Siguion Reyna, Gina Alajar, Iza Calzado, and Tony Mabesa.

Tickets are available at P200 per film. There is also a three-day pass for P500.
